Founder and Head Master of Legend Martial Arts, a 7th Dan Black Belt with over 20 years of martial arts experience.
Master Dong-hu Kim is a lifelong martial artist and dedicated teacher who has devoted his life to sharing the values and discipline of martial arts. As a 7th Dan Black Belt, he brings a wealth of knowledge, skill, and experience to every class. Over the past decade, Master Kim has inspired students of all ages to grow both on and off the mat. Eleven years ago, he opened Legend Martial Arts in Roseville, building it into a place where students not only learn martial arts techniques but also develop confidence, respect, and perseverance. Known for his patient yet powerful teaching style, Master Kim emphasizes the importance of character, discipline, and lifelong learning. His vision is to guide each student toward becoming their best self—physically, mentally, and emotionally—through the practice of martial arts.

We offer classes for all ages, from young children to adults. Our programs are tailored to different skill levels and goals.
No prior experience is required! We welcome beginners as well as experienced martial artists looking to refine their skills.
Comfortable athletic wear is fine for your first class. If you decide to continue, we'll guide you on getting a uniform and gear.
We recommend attending at least two classes per week for steady improvement, but you can train more frequently based on your goals.
We go beyond physical training to focus on building strong character. Our program is rooted in the values of loyalty, discipline, and perseverance helping students grow into confident, respectful individuals both on and off the mat. We teach not just technique, but the mindset and spirit of true martial artists.
